Wondering if this is the right baby monitor for you?
Well, that is fantastic, but you and the misses have sat down and figure out that, much like everything in parenting, there will be some pluses and minuses in the situation.
At first you may FEEL like nothing bad can come from constant monitoring of your precious angle, and then you realize something…there will be constant monitoring of your precious angle.
Is that wrong?
Are you being over protective?
Will junior grow up resenting you for being a “helicopter parent”?
Well, let’s look into this a bit and see just where you fare, shall we?
First of all, let’s start with that first statement. There will be constant monitoring of your child. It seems great, but, you start to realize this could be a real crutch. You could just be spending hundreds a month on a baby sitter and nothing happen or, heaven forbid, something DOES happen, but all that caught it was the camera and now it’s too late.
And that’s not to mention the hours and hours of tape you could be sorting through. Imagine having to sit through 8 to 10 hours a day only to see nothing at all and have waisted your time.
Even in fast forward, you have more important things to do, Dad!
I’m almost 95% certain your lawn needs mowing right now and you’re sitting here watching nanny feeding baby while you were at work sometime last week. And speaking of work, you work hard and you get paid!
Do you REALLY want to spend that money on some high dollar equipment just to watch your child if you have already done an extensive background check on your nanny and really have no need? What if your caretaker is someone you already know and trust? Do you need one then? Honestly, how many hours can you spend watching Grandma play peek-a-boo?
It’s adorable, yes, but having a nanny cam is costly and you can catch that show live for free!
First and foremost, safety. You know for 100% fact that your child is safe and that’s what really matters. Without a shadow of a doubt if any strange bumps or bruises occur you can just pull up the footage and see exactly what happened, end of story.
Cameras don’t lie and, again, hevean forbid, if anything were to happen there would be absolutely no question on who to blame.
But let’s take even the negative out of the positive.
What about being able to catch all those milestones on camera for all of time? Maybe you missed juniors first steps while you were at work that afternoon, but all you have to do is turn on the video and there it is to watch as often as you like! Sure, it may not be the same, but it’s better than missing it entirely.
Not to mention all of the very valuable information you’ll be getting by constant recording. You will literally have video records of feeding times, sleeping habits, play dates, everything baby does you can go back and look at and use to plan things in the future.
The possibilities of having your child’s infancy recorded can be almost limitless if you know what to do!
Ultimately, let’s hope you never ever need one, but, as with most safety devices, it’s better to have and not need than to need and not have. In the end, as a parent it is your decision. I personally would recommend one, even on the more affordable side, but, if you have a trusted and reliable nanny, perhaps you can save that money and not need one after all.
Looking for more information on this product? Well that’s great because I finally put together my 4 in 1 Stroll N Trike review to give you a better picture of what you will be getting if you do decide to purchase this bad boy.
These things were not around in my time so I’m a bit jelly as I’m sure this would’ve been very useful to my parents.
Then again, I might not have gotten this as we didn’t come across things as easy as the kids do these days.
Oh have times changed.
Being that I know a lot about Radio Flyer’s old school trike, I can very much compare that one with this cool new invention they have come up with, that I now use for my kids.
As you read my 4-in-1 Stroll ‘N Trike Review, you will find out what this product is about, if they are any good or made of high quality, and my final verdict on it.
Product Name: 4-in-1 Stroll ‘N Trike
Make: Radio Flyer
Weight: 15.2 pounds
Recommended Age: 9 months – 5 years
Color: Red, Pink
Guarantee: 30 day return policy + limited 1 year warranty
Overall Rating: 4.5/5 stars
This 4 in 1 trike grows with your child and can be adjusted to fit his or hers age. It provides 4 ways to ride and has an age recommendation of 9 months all the way up to 5 years.
The modes include:
Throughout all of these modes, safety has been the #1 priority for Radio Flyer.
This includes a removable wrap around the safety bars and a 3 point harness, as well as a cup holder and snack tray on the trike.
As you pedal, the tires can not be heard, due to them being “quiet ride tires”.
The push-handle that is located on this trike is fully adjustable to fit short and tall men/women so that is not only convenient, but also safe.
It also comes with a canopy that can be removed so it will work well for the younger stages of your kid’s life.
The manufacturers are claiming the steel frame and adjustable seat to be very sturdy and has the potential to last for many years to come.
So we shall see as we go further into this review.
I can clearly see that this trike will be beneficial to most kids as it will teach your child how to ride a trike from a very young age.
Children learn more in their earlier ages and tend to learn faster as well.
Other than the growing benefits, I also liked the little cupholder and tray that the kids can put their stuff in.
We have a Britax Affinity stroller that costs way more than this thing, and not even that has a cup holder so to have it on a trike is absolutely wonderful to me.
On top of that, there’s also a compartment for our stuff too, so we have somewhere to put our phone, keys, and whatever else you may have that can fit.
Might be kind of low, but it will be perfect for when your child is old enough to get off and put their own things in there.
I remember the old Radio Flyer trike that had one of those compartments, but it didn’t come with the lid that the 4 in 1 comes with, so that’s a plus.
This product can be purchased from Amazon.com as that is the cheapest place I’ve found it on, but the prices are always changing.
It does mostly sits between $60 to $120 and it does come with a 30 day return policy as well as a 1 year limited warranty from Radio Flyer.
Well the recommended age goes from 9 months to 5 years and that sounds about right.
If you want to get your child to take advantage of this fast-learning process, then this trike would be for them.
Yes it’s great for your child, but having one that’s too young to ride on their own, this thing serves as a great baby stroller that will also have heads turning.
Rather than getting a plane old umbrella stroller, I recommend you try this trike instead.
Once they start getting older, they can take themselves around without having you there to guide them.
Definitely a cool product.
I can see that there are hundreds of people who enjoy this toy trike, with most of them talking about how strong and durable it is.
Even after excessive use, there still hasn’t been any bolts that came loose, so it looks like it will last long enough to reach the last stage, which was actually my main concern.
The handle is strong and won’t break off unlike other smart trikes on the market that have cheap, plastic ones.
The wheels are rubber instead of plastic, so that’s also a great thing.
Basically, this trike has a LOT of features that other trikes don’t have and this smart trike clearly works as intended, while the cons are very minor, so I’m going to recommended this product 100%.
Radio Flyer is a great brand and I have yet to see something that they produced that has poor quality.
The only problem I have with this trike is the fact that it needs to be oiled once in a while. Without doing that, you face a big problem.
Meaning the trike will not turn as easily as it use to, as the steering wheel becomes stiff and the wheels don’t rotate as good as before.
HOWEVER, you can combat this con by doing some basic maintenance.
Even though it might take a little longer to put together than other trikes, it is so worth it in the end and this has been mentioned by hundreds of people, not just me.
The only thing I would tell you to keep in mind is to really take your time with putting it together.
Having a baby in a trike is good, but trying to rush through the assembly process, you risk not putting it together correctly and could end up having something fall off WHILE your child is on the trike.
Other than that, this thing works great and is definitely strong and sturdy.
It is much stronger than other smart trikes, so I don’t see why the cons should matter, especially when the pros and the many benefits will heavily outweigh all of those.
This concludes my 4-in-1 Stroll ‘N Trike review and I give this product a go.
Thanks for reading!
If you want to find out if this stroller is any good or not, I will be thoroughly researching it and writing down everything that I discover in this article.
After my Graco Click Connect Literider Stroller, Kyte review, I will write my final recommendation on it and let you know my final opinion, so you can see if it’s made of high quality or if it’s just a waste of money.
Product Name: Graco Click Connect Literider Stroller, Kyte
Weight: 16.8 pounds
Dimensions: 27 x 19.5 x 40 inches
Guarantee: 30 day return policy
The manufacturers of this stroller have put a huge emphasis on lightness and mobility. This stroller has been specifically designed for the active family who are always on-the-go.
It has a one hand fold, storage latch and lightweight design, allowing enough portability for the family who enjoy a stroller with much mobility.
What’s more? It’s compatible with Graco Click Connect infant car seats, meaning you can attach an infants seat to this stroller and have your own travel system in a secure manner.
This stroller has been described as being very comfortable and provides a lot of convenience. The reclining seat also features extra padding, along with a 2-level reclining system.
You will find an attachable tray that’s located on the baby stroller so your child has a place to put his/her toys, bottle, etc. The parents also have a tray for their own personal items, this includes 2 deep cup holders for all your beverage needs 😛
The extra large storage basket that is located under the stroller makes it so much easier for traveling with all the items you need, so you DON’T end up running out of room.
I find this stroller to stand out from its competitors with its ultimate mobility and because of how much convenience that it offers.
One thing that I typically like is how easy it is to fold up and stow away, which can be done with one hand. Perfect for busy moms who want something simple, yet effective.
The reclining seat has so much padding, so I can see the baby having a comfortable ride no matter what exploring trip or adventure you want to do.
The price of this stroller changes often and usually within $50 – $80. The cheapest place to purchase it is on Amazon.com. Since the pricing changes all the time, I would recommend you check the pricing here first.
With Amazon, you get a 30 day return policy. If it wasn’t up to your expectations you can send it back for a full refund.
If you find any defects on the product, you can also send it back for a repair.
It has been created for busy families who are always on-the-go and want something with simplicity, along with mobility and convenience.
And since it’s available in boys and girls colors, you can get one to be a perfect fit for both you and your child.
Actually I do. But only for infants and babies.
I can clearly see that this stroller will be no good for a toddler – and because the child’s tray doesn’t flip, getting him/her in and out of this thing will be a huge hassle. Overall, having a toddler in this stroller (comfortably) will be almost impossible.
Other than these small negatives, I can easily say that it’s a great stroller and stands up to the claims of being convenient in many ways while being lightweight with maximum mobility.
It’s easy to move around in your day to day lives.
I couldn’t find much other bad feedback regarding this stroller, if you don’t want to use it for a toddler then this is highly recommended!
The stroller mentioned above will be no good for a toddler. However, I have already reviewed one that will make a great alternative.
It is still in the same price range – so I suggest you read my review on the Summer Infant 3D Lite Convenience Stroller.
Although it has infant in the name, there is no one complaining about it not fitting a toddler, AND it can hold a much higher weight capacity (50 pounds).
It still has so many features and convenience abilities much like this one.
The Summer Infant 3D Lite stroller is a much better choice for you if you want something that’s capable of fitting a toddler, because the Graco Click Connect Literider Stroller, Kyte isn’t the best stroller for a toddler, especially a tall one.
However, that is the only negative comment I can say about it.
It IS made with high quality, there’s nothing wrong with the features as it’s packed with so many while providing amazing convenience.
I really like the head padding that it offers, a great feature for infants and babies so they have maximum comfort for their rides.
For all these reasons I have mentioned above – and because 1 con is very minor – and since there’s a better alternative for the bigger con – I have no other problems with this stroller. Highly recommended!
We all know how important a stroller is when you have a kid, but there are a lot of them that simply aren’t the best quality. I’m here to write my personal Summer Infant 3D Lite Convenience Stroller, Black Review.
This is where I will debunk all the feedback on this product from the online world, and discover the real truth about it. If that sounds like something you want to read, then I hope you enjoy it!
Product Name: Summer Infant 3Dlite Convenience Stroller, Black Review
Material: Lead Free
Target Gender: Unisex
Frame Type: Aluminium
Weight: 15.9 pounds
Maximum Weight Recommendation: 50 pounds
Guarantee: 30 day return policy
This stroller has been described of being the most lightest stroller that has many features for ultimate convenience.
The aluminum frame makes it highly durable while being completely stylish at the same time.
The frame is easy to fold and contains a carry strap, meaning you can be on-the-go in style, or have it stowed the easy way.
It contains a 3D Lite feature – this makes it super lightweight but incredibly durable at the same time.
And because it weighs less than 12 pounds, it makes it one of the lightest strollers that you can buy.
To fold it up only requires a 3 step process, and goes down very compact.
You will find an adjustable canopy that is going to help block the suns deadly UV rays from your babies skin. But I can see there’s more.
For extra sunny days, there is a pop out sun visor that can block out 99.9% of the suns harmful rays – both UVA and UVB.
The recliner that this stroller provides has an open design and can be laid down (almost) completely flat. You can’t find this function in the traditional “X” frame strollers. This recliner works great, especially for when you need to change a diaper.
This stroller includes a safety harness and can be adjusted to 3 height positions, this means you can adjust the strollers height as your child grows.
There is plenty of padding as well, so your child will always have a comfortable ride.
In addition to all of this, there’s plenty of storage for all your on-the-go needs – and there’s enough cup holders for your babies bottle or your own beverages.
What stood out to me the most was how lightweight it is, but incredibly durable to stand the test of time.
Along with that, I couldn’t believe how much features and storage space this stroller has – and simply because you don’t find many strollers that can have the height adjusted for when your baby grows.
For me (and I’m the man in the relationship) I like convenience the most.
My other half wants these heavy duty, go off roading type strollers that she can’t even lift.
If you’re like me, this stroller is for you.
This product can be purchased from the Amazon.com online store.
Although the pricing does change often and mostly within $60 and $120.
With Amazon, you get a 30 day return policy. This is so you can send it back for a repair if you find any defects on it, or get a full refund if you want to.
This specific stroller is targeted for both genders, baby and parent.
It would make a great choice for a gift – and because it’s high quality and going to last a long time – I can see that it works wonders for all parents that tend to find ‘bad’ strollers that never stand up to their expectations or break easily.
If you understand that you have to put most of it together yourself and the instructions have to be followed correctly, then the stroller WILL work as expected.
I can see too many people complaining about a wheel sitting off the ground or being crooked, some of them even complaining about it turning by itself task planning tool.
Know that this is an issue with the assembling process, and does not mean it’s defective.
If you understand all of this, then I have no doubts that you will gain the benefits that this stroller has to offer in no time.
However, there IS a very slight chance of getting a bad one, but that’s only minor.
Other than those small issues, this stroller is highly recommended!
I can’t believe how much features this stroller has and how lightweight it is while being very durable at the same time.
And because it’s capable of standing the test of time, it makes a great choice for someone who wants a stroller that’s affordable and going to last a long time.
This stroller really stood out to me, mostly because it has held a solid 4.3 star rating for so long and shows no sign of going down.
What a great stroller, this one exceeded my expectations by a long shot.
Because of that reason, and the many more outlined above, and for the simple fact that it will last many years and will probably be the only stroller you will buy – I have no hesitations in recommending it – highly recommended!
I saw these cute little eggs on eBay, and it caught my eye. What ARE these things? I will be throughly researching this toy and writing down my findings in this Hatchimals Toy review.
They are really something I haven’t seen before, so I’d be happy to write my own personal opinion on them and let you know whether they will be worth getting or not.
Product Name: Hatchimals Toy
Cheapest Place To Buy: Amazon.com
Weight: 1 pound
Manufacturers Recommended Age: 5-7 years
Product Dimensions: 8 x 10 x 5.8 inches
Guarantee: 30 day return policy
In essence, Hatchimals toys are magical creatures that live inside eggs. But the catch is, you don’t know what toy is inside, so it’s a surprise.
There are 2 interactive Hatchimals, and 1 egg contains one of these interactive cuddly creatures 🙂
If you love and care for the creature inside the egg, it will make cute sounds, while the eyes will light up and tell you how it feels!
The more you care and play with the Hatchimal while it’s inside the egg, the faster it will hatch. You will know this – because the eyes will light up like a rainbow.
Your touch and love is the secret to making your Hatchimal come out of the egg, by pecking its way out of it.
The manufacturers are claiming this to be a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
Especially because you get to raise the Hatchimal once it is hatched. There are 3 stages of life for this toy. These are: baby, toddler, and kid, and will sing “Happy Birthday” every time it enters one of these stages.
You can teach it to walk, dance, play games, and more.
It can also repeat what you say, but in its own voice of course. I find this to be a great feature that all kids tend to love.
The amount of fun and experience your kid can get out of this toy will be a huge benefit to you and your child.
One of the best benefits? This toy will keep them entertained for days! And possibly even more when it has hatched.
And since your kid is very young, they actually think it’s a real animal inside of it. And because of this, they tend to take extra care of the egg 😛
This Hatchimals toy is on Amazon.com. The pricing does change often though, and mostly between $140-$200.
This will include a 30 day return policy, so you can send it back for a full refund, or a repair/new one if you get one with a fault or defect.
The manufacturers are describing this toy to be good for ages of 5-7 and is best recommended for that, so if your child is between that age (or roughly around it), it would make a perfect choice.
I find these to be good for a kids birthday present.
And yes, it is recommended for both boys and girls.
There’s a lot of people complaining about it taking too long to hatch – good things take time. And I have found out that this is where a lot of the negative feedback have come from, impatient people!
If you realize that it will not hatch in the first hour and you’re not an impatient person, then it is highly recommended for you.
Even though it is on the pricier side, that is what you should expect for a high quality product that’s going to give you and your child hours of fun and happiness a day.
With 3 stages of life that the Hatchimal goes through, I find that this builds up even more anticipation for your kid as he/she tries to care for the toy as much as possible.
A great product, high quality, and it’s especially a good choice if you’re wanting to something to help bond with your child. Highly recommended.
If you really don’t care about the price (if it isn’t an issue with you), and you only want your kids to be happy, I would hands down suggest that you get one of these.
They are a little pricey, however there’s only a very slight chance of getting one that won’t hatch due to a defect or fault.
In this case, the manufacturers recommend you giving them a call and they can actually aid the toy in the process of hatching.
Because most of the time it isn’t a fault, but rather not enough nurturing.
The amount of fun and happiness your child will get from it is more important than any con I have mentioned above.
For all reasons I have outlined in this review, and because there are thousands of parents mentioning that this ‘hatching process’ has been a great bonding experience for them and their child, I have no hesitations in recommending this product.
It works as advertised, the manufacturers really stand by their product, AND the customer service is outstanding.
I have no doubts that you and your child will find this toy to be highly fun and a great bonding experience.
Great product and highly recommended.
This is my Summer Infant Babble Band Review, where I will be debunking the feedback from the online world and writing down my findings in this article.
As you all would probably know, not all monitors are cut out to be as good as the companies claim them to be.
Well they aren’t always 100% accurate anyway.
But thanks to the power of the internet and online reviews, we can get a good idea on how a product performs.
This is my honest and unbiased opinion on the Summer Infant Babble Band, so I hope you enjoy it.
Product Name: Summer Infant Babble Band
Weight: 5 pounds
Target gender: Unisex
Material Type: Lead free
Product Dimensions: 6 x 6 x 6 inches
Batteries Required: No
Guarantee: 30 day return policy
The babble band’s sole purpose was to have the capability of being worn as you move around the house, giving you peace of mind that your baby is sound asleep while you can properly relax.
It is also the first wearable monitor out on the market!
It’s been created to fit both genders comfortably, while having an easy-to-attach, adjustable clasp.
There are 3 modes on the babble band. These are: Audio mode – So you can hear your baby, Vibration mode – So you can feel it go off in case you’re in a loud area (when the families around :P), and Sound light mode – where it will provide a visual cue when there is noise coming from the nursery, the audio is turned off in this case.
The Summer Infant Babble Band has won 2 awards already. I can also see that there is a rechargeable battery, which is included in the purchase.
This has its own private and secure connection so you don’t have to worry about interference’s or interruptions, while the range can go up to 800 feet.
There is a bunch of other little features available on the Summer Infant Babble Band too.
A huge benefit that many parents will find to be highly useful, is the hands-free function. Wrap it around your wrist and do your chores around the house without having to check up on your baby every 30 minutes.
With 3 different modes to go with it, I find that the vibration feature will come in handy when the rowdy family comes over to visit.
You can now get this product from Amazon.com. While the price varies between $30 and $60, which is why it’s recommended to check the current price first.
This will include a 30 day return policy, so you can return it for a full refund if you find it wasn’t up to your expectations, or simply send it back for a repair if you find any faults or defects in the product.
I would say that this product works amazingly for parents who are always on the move and can’t seem to catch a break.
While any parent who wants something that’s simplified and known to get the job done will find this to benefit them as well.
I also find that the more paranoid parents who want something to give them a peace of mind is going to gain a lot of benefit from this product, especially because it’ll be less stressful.
It is a great concept and all, but I wouldn’t personally use it.
I also would not recommend for anyone else to use it.
It is cheaply made, while there are just so many complaints – especially for a product with this much purchases.
When you find a product with minimal purchases, it should have at least a 4.2 star average rating, this one is nowhere near that.
I really wanted to like this product, but it just doesn’t cut the butter.
The Summer Infant Babble Band is NOT recommended!
There a much better baby monitor on the market, it can go a lot further than 100 feet and won’t cut out through the walls of your house (a lot of people complaining about this happening).
It has also won an award for being the best baby monitor of its kind and it’s what I recommend for you to use instead of the Summer Infant Babble Band.
Check out my review of the Angelcare Movement and Sound Monitor!
Even though it is truly a one-of-a-kind baby monitor, it just doesn’t stand up to everyone’s expectations and I have no idea how it has won 2 awards to be honest.
In my honest opinion, I think because the price is so low, they haven’t gone the extra mile to ensure it will exceed everyone’s expectations.
For all the reasons I have mentioned in this review, and because there is so much better alternatives, I would say this product is on the do not buy list.
You can still see it on Amazon.com and get it for less than $35 if you just want to see for yourself.
Otherwise, I’d rather you read my full review on the Angelcare Movement and Sound Monitor!
Baby monitors are highly important, especially because we can’t be around our babies 24/7. It is only necessary to have one of these handy items to make our busy lives so much easier.
That doesn’t mean all baby monitors are truly up to par though, because there are some bad ones, and there are some good ones.
Choosing the right baby monitor is a must as I used to think the old school types did the job until I encountered some unnecessary problems that could’ve been prevented with some research.
In this article you will find my personal Angelcare Movement and Sound Monitor review, where I will find the true quality of this product.
Product Name: Angelcare Movement and Sound Monitor
Weight: 3.5 pounds
Batteries: 4 AAA batteries required
Target Gender: Male
Power Source: Rechargeable Batteries
Video Display: No
This monitor has been described to monitor sound AND movement (yes, this includes breathing!) – all in one device.
The range can go up to 820 feet, and 8 different channels to minimize interruptions or interferences, which is a great quality for any baby monitor.
Since this product offers continuous movement monitoring, if no movement is detected for 20 seconds, the monitor will instantly sound an alarm.
In addition to all of this, the Angelcare Movement and Sound Monitor also offers more convenience, such as a room temperature display, along with a sound and movement indicator.
This specific product has won an award for being the best baby monitor of its kind, which has been described as being pretty and practical.
You can slide the sensor pad under the mattress and monitor all the babies movements, even if the baby is asleep or wide awake.
Unlike other baby monitors, on this one, you’ll hear every single sound that’s coming from your babies room with your handy little Parent Unit device, which is has been jam packed with a bunch of extra features.
All of this is to give you a peace of mind, so you can really relax and get a good nights sleep too.
The sensor pad can be used with thin AND thick *standard* mattresses. However, it will not work for memory foam, dual sided, or mattresses with a hollow frame, and it also won’t work for Purflo mattresses.
Something that really caught my eye was actually how much sound and movement that this product can pick up.
The manufacturers are claiming that it is capable of picking up even the slightest movements and sounds.
This award-winning baby monitor will also sound an alarm when it doesn’t detect any movements for at least 20 seconds, which again, is awesome!
This is extremely important, especially in the event that your baby stops breathing during the night.
The price of this product varies between $50 and $120, and can be purchased at its cheapest price from Amazon.com
This will include free shipping and a 30 day return policy.
The return policy is good for anyone who finds a defect in the product, so they can return it for a repair, or a full refund if they want to.
This product will make a PERFECT choice for new parents who want that extra security, knowing their baby will be safe in their own room.
Actually, anyone that gets paranoid will find this to be very useful.
In my honest opinion though, I would also say this is a good choice for all parents.
We can’t be by them all the time, but we can make our lives easier – simply by having a handy tool to aid us in our day-to-day lives.
I would hands down use this product.
The cons are only minor things, but the benefits that you will get from this product are HUGE and can potentially save your babies life.
If you don’t want to place a piece of plywood under the mattress to get the sensor pad to work properly, and skip it altogether, be sure that you don’t accidentally get it to show up on the monitor unit or it will scream loudly at you.
If your baby is also a mover, there might be a time that he/she will roll off the sensor, causing it to go off. You can avoid this by keeping the sensitivity turned to high.
With this many purchases and this small amount of complaints, there is really nothing to worry about. The Angelcare Movement and Sound Monitor is highly recommended!
The complaints about this product are so minor, that the pros heavily outweigh the cons.
Yes, there’s a slight chance of getting a faulty one, but that is only a small percentage.
While your chances of getting one that will work correctly and as advertised is much higher, which is why I have no hesitations in recommending this product.
It works as its suppose to, and it’s very affordable too.
There are a few cons, but the pros are so much more.
For the many reasons I have outlined in this article, and because this product has been claimed to work as advertised by hundreds of people, I would say it is highly recommended!

At under $20, you may not expect much, but the first thing you may notice upon opening the box is not how little you have, but literally the endless possibilities of what is you you have to work with.
The box comes with an overabundance of gears, axles, hubcaps, various sizes of gears, and basic instructions on how these things works.
What the set does NOT come with, however, is the body on which to build your new creation.
Now, this may sound confusing at first, but the idea here is not to follow a simple 300 some odd step instruction booklet to build a pre made model car or train.
Instead, the concept of this toy is for your child to discover on their own just what they want to make their new plaything out of.
And this is where things get interesting.
Keep in mind, this isn’t just a kind of “slap some stickers on an old soda bottle and it kind of looks like a car” sort of thing.
This is a real building kit that your child has to use their own imagination in order to make it work.
There is no right or wrong way to create here.
If your son or daughter wants to make a truck from a tin can, this set allows them to do just exactly that.
Do they want a minivan made from a cardboard box?
That is also doable.
And the tools themselves are remarkably easy to use.
There are no harsh binding chemicals or welding needed, just a little imagination and maybe some hole punching and you are on your way.
And the fun doesn’t stop there.
There is not only a Winches Set, but a Gears Set and Propeller set as well, each for around $19.99!
Unlike model planes and cars, these model sets encourage children’s budding imagination and really pushes them to learn, experiment, and grow.
This is a total immersive experience far superior than putting someone else’s parts together.
Your child will not only learn to think for him or herself, but will go out of their way to imagine and create new and exciting things.
The only downside here may be your child asking you not to toss out that old shoebox because they have a great idea for a spaceship.
Your kid is going to be learning the building blocks of engineering, all while playing the day away and keeping the garbage just a little less full with each creation.
Visit thinkfun.com/makerstudio for more information and a wider list of the amazing fun/educational products this company has to offer.
For the best deals, I found that Amazon had the best pricing over any other site I visited.
Prices start at under $20, so you can get a steal of a deal for something that can keep your little ones busy for a very long time.
Let’s just say I never had anything like this when I was a kid and if I got this, I would literally play with this thing forever.
I know kids these days have their faces stuck on their tablets, so this is a chance to get their noses into something a little more productive.
I’m going to give the ThinkFun Maker Studio Winches Building kit two thumbs up.
The future of the world lives in the hearts and minds of our children. Let’s make sure it’s a bright one for us all.
So you’re looking to buy a baby monitor but you’re not sure what to look for. Perhaps it’s your first child or maybe up until now all you’ve had is an old hand-me-down that you are at least 75% certain was used during the 1920’s. Either way, if you are looking for a new monitor, take a look at Lorex!
Lorex is a fantastic company with years of experience and various models, but let’s take a look at one of the more recent additions to their family, the “Care N Share model BB4325x”.
Now, don’t let the random letters and numbers scare you, this is a simple and straight forward device that is going to knock your little babies socks off (then immediately put them back on, babies do get cold, after all).
With a 4.3 inch monitor, this device almost towers over the competition. And yes, it is LCD, full color, AND portable.
This baby has a free app that you can download to any smartphone or tablet allowing you to monitor your child from anywhere in the world! You even have up to a 450 feet range in your own home! How’s THAT for portable!
And how about that PTZ capability! You can pan, tilt, zoom, and track your baby with a hands free motion tracker.
And it’s a good thing too because this device also houses a snap and share technology allowing you to take a photo of your sleeping angel and share it on as much social media as you like!
And for those times when you just can’t find your voice, you can just turn on it’s soothing sounds and have your baby monitor lull your baby right to sleep.
And don’t worry about a machine being the only thing singing baby to sleep because with a two-way radio you can sing your own lullaby from 3 rooms over.
The “Care N’ Share” has a crystal clear night vision that’ll will allow you to monitor baby in the dimmest of light with infrared LED technology. And if it’s too dim, you can always turn on the built in nightlight for baby’s comfort.
Iff you’re worried even a little about battery power; don’t! You’ll have an eight hour batter life as well as video monitoring on and off to save power.
This is all while giving a constant temperature monitor of the entire room as well, just to make sure your little bundle is nice and comfy and not too warm under all those blankets.
Personally, I think this monitor comes with some unnecessary stuff. Two way talking? I mean, why would you need to have the monitor on if there was someone else in the room with baby? Isn’t our objective to “monitor” the baby?
Unless of course you’re expecting to communicate with baby, then by all means, talk away.
The price might be out of most parent’s budget and I am all about saving money. But, for what it can do, I think that is worth the price tag.
Although I do like this product, it would take a very good day for me to spend over $50 on a baby monitor especially if I started with the old school, static, not clear baby monitors.
I’m a very thrifty shopper and you can call me el cheapo, but I left it up to my other half to get this. I mean, we still have a baby monitor that works perfectly fine, so I don’t see the point in getting this.
People all over are singing the praises of Lorex Baby monitors and the “Care N’ Share” system itself. At around $100, it pays to purchase a product that will give you a peace of mind for years to come.
But don’t take our word, just do some research and you’ll find that this monitor is definitely one to keep an eye on.
Just like the internet, baby monitors have come a long. From the old school walkie talkie looking type baby monitors, to full on surveillance types, you can find any type of monitoring device for your baby.
Back then I used to think they were so cool because we get to leave baby and do whatever needs to be done around the house, until of course baby makes a peep.
These days, Motorola and all these baby monitor making companies have taken things to a whole new level. Some a bit pricey, but at least it gives us options.
You are only human. And, as a human, you absolutely can not be in multiple places at once. Unfortunately, mankind has not evolved a robot that can do laundry, balance the check book, and send all those important business emails all while watching your little bundle of joy sleep peacefully in your bed.
The Motorola Digital Audio Baby Monitor is a fine bit of equipment sure to give you peace of mind a lot of other devices can not, but, be aware, this little baby may be lacking in some basic needs you could easily find in another model.
Not a bad price, but is it even worth $40?
Let’s start with a feature that is very important to parents; the battery. Sure, it has a 14 hour life, however, there are various complaints of constant recharging and draining. The range is not that spectacular and the volume setting is sketchy at best.
In fact, the main issue most parents with this particular model have is waking up to hear their child crying in the next room and find the baby monitor not even so much as giving a hint of a whimper. This can be very disconcerting as literally the entire reason you buy a baby monitor is to, yeah, ummm, monitor the baby.
There are even various reports of interference and static, but those seem to be few and far between. Over all, the sheer lack of options on this device is what turns a lot of parents away before even buying.
It really is your basic audio monitor so if you are looking for much more than that, chances are you will be disappointed. I guess it’s safe to say that not all baby monitors are created equal.
There are some good things to say about the Motorola Digital Audio Baby Monitor. Sure, there are SOME reports of a faulty battery, but at 14 hours on average it’s not a bad battery life over all.
The range may not be far, but for your average home size a wide range isn’t going to matter much either way. If you plan on being football fields away from baby, you might not want to have anymore kids.
The number one complaint was the volume, but when it works it works beautifully with crystal clear audio shining through.
And as far as the interference, 9 parents out of 10 actually say that this is one of the better monitors to have in your home if you have multiple devices so on this one issue it really seems likes it’s a bit of a coin toss.
And as far as the lack of options, yes, it really is your basic audio model with no temperature or movement monitoring, but, sometimes it’s good to really get back to the basics. Perhaps you already have a fancy video monitor and you really do only need an extra sound monitor.
Perhaps you are on a budget. Whatever the reason, for around $40 bucks it’s ultimately not a bad purchase, just not as fancy and high tech as some products out on the market these days.
You really could do a lot worse than the Motorola Digital Audio Baby Monitor. Obviously if you would rather actually SEE your baby, this device isn’t for you, but, if you are looking for a decently priced audio device, this may just be what you are looking for.
Personally, I think that you can do just fine with this. I mean, do you plan on being away from baby for more than 10 hours?
Have any of you tried this product before? Please chime in and let us know what you think. Thanks!
