Welcome to my Range Mate Pro review!
Just like most products that come from As Seen on TV land, you can only wonder if it actually works.
Now with a similar product to the Reheatza, which I reviewed last month, the Range Mate Pro is designed to give you a more crispier dish by simply using this inside your microwave.
Unlike when you microwave that pizza from the night before that comes out all flimsy, this product is supposed to make it like you just got it.
In most cases, it will actually make things a lot crispier, just like what a Power Air Fryer XL will do.
Well let’s get into things here as I’m sure we both can be doing something better.
Like eating some leftovers that can be heated with this product.
Range Mate Pro Review – Product Overview
The Range Mate Pro is one of many As Seen on TV products that comes with many mixed reviews.
“I love the Range Mate Pro”
“This thing is useless”
The list goes on and on about what people think about it.
For me, I like to meet right in the middle and I try to be as unbiased as I can unless the product is flat out mind blowing.
If it is mediocre, then you can bet that I will not be giving it much praising.
Let’s get further into things and see what this thing can really do.
Who This is For
This product is definitely going to be for the person who is on a microwaved diet time frame.
If your life is hectic to the point that you really only have the time to push a couple of buttons in order to prepare dinner, you are certainly going to appreciate the range of functions that this unique cookware set is able to perform.
Expediency is the name of the game when it comes to the Range Pro cook set.
The system essentially offers you the opportunity to enjoy the speed of your microwave system, without having to restrict your diet to the frozen food usually prepared in the microwave.
It also promises to mitigate the need for a clean up, simply by containing all of your food prep and cooking materials in one simple, easy to wipe down package.
With that in mind, this product is also really going to favor people that simply don’t like to have a big mess to clean up after dinner.
There is also the health factor to consider.
This product does not require the same level of oils and utters that are associated with traditional cooking options, which means that it is going to be perfect for users that are trying to cut some unnecessary fat out of their life.
And of course, in a much broader sense, the cookware will also just appeal to anyone that uses their microwave from time to time.
Occasionally we all use the microwave one way or another.
If you would like the process to be a little bit easier or more effective, the Range Mate is going to appeal to you.
How It Works
The way that the Range Mate works is pretty simple: you prepare your food, place it in the cookware, place the cookware in the microwave, activate the appliance, and wait!
It’s pretty simple, right? That’s the appeal.
While cooking something stove top requires a lot of active cook time, using the microwave is about as quick and simple as possible.
The system comes with a variety of options that empower you to do more or less anything that you can do stove top or even in an oven.
The set comes with equipment for grilling, baking, steaming, broiling, and more.
It is also designed to be easy to clean, featuring a non stick surface that is designed to wipe down easily.
It is worth mentioning that we did notice some components will require more scrubbing than others, but for the most part this function of the product works pretty well.
In general, the product actually does perform as advertised.
One thing that people with families will want to keep in mind, however, is that this is smaller than traditional cookware, which means that you won’t be able to make as much food as you may be used to.
Depending on the size of your family, this may eliminate the product as a buying option.
Is It Durable?
Durability is a big concern in the world of cookware in general, but perhaps even more so when discussing newer, less tested products.
The good news is that these pieces of cookware do seem to hold up pretty well.
Anytime anything spends a lot of time in a microwave it is eventually going to get a little bit warped, or even melted, and over time, you will probably see the same thing happen here.
Fortunately, the damage should hopefully mostly just be cosmetic.
If there is major damage or melting sustained, the product does come with a three year warranty that will hopefully help you get damaged or broken pieces fixed for free.
Before You Buy
Before you buy, understand that this isn’t exactly a fancy set of cookware.
This is mentioned not for the sake of being pretentious, but more because the system is priced as though it were a fancy piece of cookware.
At around $80, you really are paying a good sum of money for the utility of this product. Eighty dollars can buy a lot of nice kitchen stuff.
Is this how you want to spend your kitchen supplies budget?
If it is, there is certainly no shame at all in that, but you do need to be conscious of the fact that there are other, perhaps more broadly useful ways you could be using that money in the kitchen.
At $80, this product is pretty pricey.
If you are an Amazon Prime member you will probably be able to save a little bit of money by purchasing it through them and taking advantage of the free shipping benefit.
Even if you can get it with the free shipping though, $80 may be out of many people’s price range, especially considering the fact that this product will never be as versatile as your oven or stove top.
Is it worth the money?
Ultimately you are going to have to decide that for yourself.
Pros and Cons
Now that you have read our review, hear are a few pros and cons that will hopefully help you decide if you want to take this product home.
- Easy to clean
- May warp over time
- A little pricey
- Smaller serving sizes than traditional cooking
And there you have it! Is the Range Mate Pro worth your time and money?
In terms of actual function, we would say that it actually is.
This product is proven to work effectively, which means that shoppers looking for something to enhance their microwaving cooking experience are going to be in luck with this product.
On the other hand, we did note that this stuff does seem to be a little bit pricier than it needs to be.
At around $80, this is probably going to be outside of the budget of a lot of shoppers, and that is understandable.
Still, if you like the way that this product works, and you have the loot, we say go for it!
