In this honest and straightforward Rotorazer Saw review, we will debunk all the talk and find out why it has been given such negative feedback, while over 50% of the purchases have people that are happy with their purchase.

One category of buyers loves it, and the others think it’s rubbish.

Let’s find out what is actually going on and why has 25% of people who have purchased this product been giving it 1 star.

I will be answering this question and many more in this Rotorazer saw review below, so let’s get right into things.

Product Overview

The Rotorazer Saw has been described as being lightweight and versatile, while it is also easy to use and a powerful circular saw for many DIY jobs.

This Rotorazer Saw also includes a 400-watt motor located inside a construction-grade chassis.

This has also been claimed to be incredibly light.

The manufacturers are claiming that this product can be many different saws.

Such include Hand, Circular, Jigsaw, Hacksaw, Miter, Bandsaw, and Tile.

While it will cut a lot of different materials – PVC, ceramic tiles, hardwood, drywall, metal, steel, marble – just to name a few.

3 quick-change, razor-sharp blades will be included free with the purchase.

Another thing to note is that the Rotorazer does contain its own Dust Extraction system, which means you don’t need to break out your Dyson.

What Ultimate Benefits Does This Product Provide?

What I really liked the most was how many different materials this all-in-one handsaw can cut into.

Even though it’s very small and lightweight, it can still pack a punch.

But what also caught my eye was the different types of saws that this product can use, seven saws in one.

At this price, that isn’t always easy to find.

Pricing & Purchase Details

We all want to be smarter shoppers, and there are many smart reasons why the Rotorazer will work for you.

Who The Rotorazer Saw Is For

I find this to work perfectly for DIY dads.

Since it isn’t the most expensive Saw in the world, it’s definitely not going to break the bank.

While many businesses can benefit from this as well. Contractors that tend to work in other people’s houses will find this to be very useful.

With the Extraction system, you won’t make much of a mess.

A lot of times, small businesses spend money on expensive tools that they don’t need or never last long when they could be spending their money on something lightweight and in an affordable price range.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Incredibly lightweight and convenient, so it won’t be a hassle to have in your arsenal of tools
  • Doesn’t make much mess
  • Will cut through many hard surfaces
  • Many people claim that it works just as advertised

Cons

  • Won’t cut items with a large diameter or even high in-depth, so don’t expect it to
The updated model (3000) can cut more
  • Not recommended for huge jobs

Do I Recommend it?

There are way too many people expecting this saw to replace their more expensive ones and thinking it would work perfectly.

This is probably a fault on the manufacturer’s part, too, claiming it to be used as seven different types of saws.

I can ensure you that it does do all of these.

However, it will not work the best.

Don’t get me wrong, though, it is a great tool and works as advertised, but the people expecting it to do huge jobs that it simply can’t handle are the ones giving it bad feedback.

It is what it is, at the end of the day.

It’s an affordable, lightweight, multipurpose saw and capable of doing many small jobs.

I find that to be truly beneficial to many contractors or businesses who want a saw that’s going to be lightweight and not going to break the bank.

And because it can work flawlessly for small jobs, it will work great for DIY jobs around the house.

This is a great tool and something that exceeded my expectations by far. Definitely recommended.

So many mixed Rotrazer saw reviews, so you might have to see for yourself.

Rotorazer Saw Review – Conclusion

I’m guessing that many people don’t look after their Rotorazer Saw, which is why it breaks down on them, then they try and claim it to be poorly-made and low quality.

It should be treated as a lightweight and convenient saw, but also a fragile one.

I suggest you clean it often, and don’t expect it to replace all your heavier saws for bigger jobs because it won’t.

Once you realize that, your expectations won’t be as high, and you will get a great product that will work almost flawlessly on small jobs.

You can’t get any better than that, especially from an As Seen on TV product.

Because of the many reasons I have outlined in this article, and for the simple fact that it’s lightweight and capable of doing many jobs around the house, and for a lot of contractors too, I have no doubts that it will work for you as well.

As long as you don’t want to replace your heavier tools with this one, then you will fall in love with it, and it will work better than expected.

A great saw and works as promised.

Definitely recommended!

Thanks for reading my Rotorazer Saw review!

The red model is the one advertised. That is the one we wanted. They did a mandatory upgrade to the yellow unit without explaining the differences. It is larger and does not comfortably fit my daughters hand. She has small hands. When contacting their customer service they informed us that they no longer make the red unit.
It would cost over $50.00 to return the unwanted one for a refund.
Do NOT trust them, and be sure to ask questions before you buy.
They have lost another customer for themselves and any other product their pitch man is selling.

I bought one of these, and while it did most of the jobs it was supposed to, it has one fatal flaw and that flaw is in the gear-box : there are two (2) bevel gears in here which mesh together to create the drive for the saw blade, these two gears are unfortunately made of die-cast metal when they should be drop-forged steel. The die-cast metal strips very easily when the blade stalls for any reason in the work piece. Mine did just that, and I was not able to find any where to get replacement parts.
Because of this lack of after-sales service I can only give it a 3 out of 10 rating

The Rotorazer is a professional-grade saw that is extremely versatile and comparably affordable. The saw comes with three types of blades that cut through any type of material effortlessly.

I ordered this and didnt get my 310 piece drill set as the add tells us is a gift. When i called to question it they said i didnt pay the shipping for it. I paid in full not in 3 easy payments and never told about a seperate shipping cost when the lady read off everything to me that i would receive. WOW dont offer a gift and not get one. Because of this i will be returning the Rotorazor.

Can I use this roto razor saw for my ceramic tile 15’x10′? What is the cut off time while using this saw? Does the motor get overheated when using over a length of time?

Great review – nice to see the truth out there about the rotorazer! I’m wondering if there’s a safety component to why it originally had so many average reviews across platforms like Amazon? I know when an angle grinder or orbital sander breaks down there’s often a shower of broken parts strewn across the floor. Do you really think the Rotorazer is worth getting?

Like I said Kegan, it works great for small projects but that’s about it. If you are trying to renovate a house then good luck with that.

Very interesting review but I am little confused about what particular projects this saw would work for. Is there a specific DIY project that works best? How would this saw work in conjunction with other tools? Is it for woodworking? Home remodeling? If you can explain this, it would be greatly appreciated.

Pretty much any small DIY project Elan. This will definitely not be your best bet for home remodeling or any big projects. I mean, it can do some cutting but you definitely want a more robust tool for remodeling your house.

    Hi John
What a great review on the Rotorazer Saw. It’s not something i would use, simply because my husband wont let me touch any of his stuff, or his ‘big boy toys’ as he likes to call them.
With so much information here however, it might make a good birthday present for him. So thank you for sharing your knowledge.

    Hi John,
My husband does small job’s like building cages for my animals and things for me to use in the yard this sound’s like a better tool than his bug bulky saw so I think I am going to get him one I loved the review it made perfectly good sense to see the tool for what it is and use it correctly.
Was intending on buying him a new one for fathers day think this will be my choice. VickiG

    Good Day, John.
Thanks for this honest and accurate Rotorazer review.
I have spent most of my professional life working with tools. This includes hand and power tools.
Tools are often constructed for a specific purpose. When the tool is not abused and mistreated it usually performs to appropriate standards.
Another factor is price and quality. You get what you pay for. There is no single tool that will perform all tasks, otherwise, contractors would only need one tool.
There are, however, many multi-tools on the market that perform very well when used properly and within their intended purpose.
You show this very well in your review and I totally get what you mean.

Thanks man. I think most people who are thinking about getting the Rotorazer are thinking that it is going to chop down trees but if you simply look at the size of the tool and the blade you can see what it is really capable of doing.

Interesting review on the rotorazer saw. In this article you distinguish between big jobs and small jobs but can you give examples of the two, so that i know? I also see that you can use 7 different saws with this machine which is amazing but how many hours of sawing can you actually do with such a blade? And do you repair them or replace them after? I take it that you can easily replace one blade for another but not so sure.

Yes it is easy to replace but don’t be like some people who are trying to use this to cut 2×4 thinking this is the best saw for the job. It is a smaller saw which means it is great for simple jobs and not to build your next home. Keep it simple and this thing will get the job done.

John: Have you tried the Multi-mate. If so, how would you compare the two? Your review made me think of the Multi-mate. It works well for lightweight things that falls within it’s capability range. However, one main factor in purchasing is that one needs to determine if what they are purchasing it for is withing the capabilities of the unit, and not necessarily all the advertising hype. The problem is, sometimes the only way to really determine that is to purchase one and try it.

I have also used Rotorazer Multi-purpose Circular Mini Saw with 3 Interchangeable Blades and Dust Extraction System – Red and it is also working fine although sometimes I face small difficulties these are easily manageable for me.

The Rotorazer is not designed for big jobs so that is what people need to know before getting this thing. Now if you are going to use it for simple tasks then it will definitely do the job. It is not the best thing out there but for its price, I think it is worth it.

Ordered it… we were overcharged and it doesn’t do what it says is going to do. We want to return it. Almost impossible to do as for the last 20 days they tell me they cannot give me an RM number answer iCloud is not working. I would not recommend it as you cannot get your money back. We had to file a fraud complaint with MasterCard

When dozens of reviewers on Amazon give a product negative reviews, there’s usually a very good reason. Many said it wouldn’t even cut 1/2″ plywood. Almost everyone said its cutting depth was just not enough for most jobs. Others reported it getting very hot and one reported that it dangerously “bucked up” when he tried to cut some scrap plywood with it. One buyer said he was overcharged $100. When he called customer service, he got patched to a guy in China. The Chinese customer service rep called himself “Joe” and said that maybe the $100 was for the “free blades.” The customer said that in the USA, free means free. “Joe” then hung up. Hanging up on customers is something this company appears to do very well.

The same for the refund, to send it to you to test is less then $20.- but to return it for what ever reason is going to cost you a mint,as it is overseas so you keep your useless item. looks ok but got my serious doubts about its capability. and I have worked with powertools for the last 40 years!

Wow…Thx for the outside input. Something to think about, usually these TV “Too Good To Be True” ads are fast money scams with hidden charges “But wait!!! Free, Double the order + S & H”. Just wait until Walgreens or Dollar store gets them in, easier to return if necessary. My sister got took on that battery powered weed eater, life time string. Nope, when she ordered the string, $10 shipping and handling, Lifetime free huh!

It doesn’t have anything to do with being a woman. You could have said you liked this review because you don’t have experience with saws and appreciated the advice. The fact that you are a female doesn’t make you less qualified to use a saw, or any other tool. Lack of experience and/or education does.

I would beg to differ. 20+ years in the construction trade and being a woman my hands have never been as big as a mans. And yes I use all the tools men use regardless of how cumbersome they may be. Smaller tools absolutely fit my hands better and that makes them safer for me to use because of better control. Even a large framing hammer I replace with a lighter and smaller hammer. It never has and never will mean I can’t do the job. I simply do it different You can hurt yourself with any tool even if your are experienced and highly educated. No matter how much one might think there is no difference between men and women, there absolutely is. Anyone can be what they want, male or female. I’m tired of men and women reading more into things than is necessary and none of it has anything to do with anything. Any woman with small hands would love a tool that fits better. Either that or they have something to prove just like you did.

Thank you Patty, it is so refreshing to read an honest, and true, answer to the claims made today equating equal with “the same”. I can do and have done quite a lot that I was told “Women can’t, or shouldn’t, do that” I live in the mountains and have to do for myself so anytime I can get a tool that fits me, I’m 5’4″ and 76, I have no problems. You can probably see that I’m not politically correct but political correctness won’t help me put up a fence or split wood. The Rotorazer looks like a tool I need (I too use tools that fit my hand.) Thanks for your excellent post.
